Tilt only- bottom hung inward tilting window for ventilation

Tilt & turn balcony door - same function as tilt & turn window but with a deeper bottom rail. Available with handle inside only.

Opening lights and fixed lights can be built in one frame with endless design possibilities.

Thermo 80 products can be supplied double or triple glazed. As standard the units are double glazed 4-16-4mm (4mm pane of glass, 16mm gas cavity and a second 4mm pane of glass). The glass unit is filled with Argon as standard and has a soft, low-e coating giving a centre pane U-value of 1.1W/m2K (overall window U-value of 1.2W/m2K). Triple glazed units are 4-14-4-14-4mm (4mm pane of glass, 14mm gas cavity, 4mm pane of glass, 14mm gas cavity, 4mm pane of glass) with a center pane U-value of 0.6W/m2K (overall window U-value of 0.9W/m2K).
Safety glass is used in the form of either toughened or laminated glass for enhanced safety and security.
Specialist glazed units incorporating acoustic, solar control and self cleaning options are available, as well as sandblasted or decorative obscure glass for extra privacy.

The glazing units are internally beaded by secret nailing. This means that there are no pins or nails visible anywhere on frames, creating a sleek, clean finish.
Glazing Bars
There are 2 kinds of glazing bars on the Thermo 80 system; structural and decorative.
Structural bars, known as transoms (horizontal) or mullions (vertical) separate two or more different glazing units in either a fixed or an opening light and also act as the structural element between an opener and a fixed light when built into a single frame. When acting as this structural element, the bars can be 110mm or 124mm wide. When being used to divide two glass units, the transoms or mullions can be 66mm, 80mm or 126mm wide.
Decorative glazing bars are a thinner, more elegant solution for creating a traditional appearance to doors & windows. They come as a 24mm timber bar internally and externally with dummy spacer bars inside the glass unit. This creates the illusion that there are several glass units, as would of been done traditionally, but without the weakness that this creates.

SAA key locking Hoppe handles
Trickle vents to the outer frame = trimvent
Trickle vents to head of sash = spilvent
Opening restrictors (child safety catch)
Protective foil to glazed units for protection
Hau-Tau lever fittings for high level windows.

All timber is finished with a choice of stains or paints. Paint choices are from the RAL Classic range (approx. 250 colours).
All paints and stains that are used are water based, micro-porous products from Akzo-Nobel. Actual timber samples are sent out upon receipt of order to help assist in the correct colour choice for your project.
It is possible to have a 2 colour system with a different finish from inside to outside, meaning that a solid paint can be used externally and a clear lacquer could be used internally if you wanted to appreciate that natural beauty of the timber without any additional colouring.
