Timber Windows

Timber windows have been used for centuries and examples can still be found in historic buildings which are well in excess of 100 years old, proving the longevity and durability of this natural material.
All Olsen's timber windows are now manufactured using modern techniques in which the timber profile is engineered. This process involves laminating various timber sections, most commonly Pine, where each layer of the timber is set so the direction of the grain is different to the last. This process makes the frames incredibly strong, ensuring the frames are as least susceptible as possible to twisting or warping. The engineering process also enables our manufacturers to select only the very best timber, eliminating any imperfections such as knots.
Our most common species of timber used in our systems is Pine but we have various options to upgrade this to a hardwood such as Oak, Meranti or Teak (not all timbers are available for all systems - please see individual systems for options)

Upgrade to aluminium-clad timber windows for a low maintenance solution!

Upgrading to have external aluminium cladding on your new timber framed windows will enhance the expected life span of the windows, creating an almost zero maintenance solution and also gives you the option of a dual colour frames as standard.
