Puro

Puro is a newly designed tilt & turn system with a tripled glazed unit which butts right up to the aluminium cladding, allowing this aluminium to be completely flush. The flat, uniform aluminium makes the windows ideal for use in modern buildings where the windows compliment square, clean architecture. Internally the engineered timber is perfectly profiled with straight, clean cut edges, giving the modern look previously only achieved by aluminium windows.

With its versatile uses the Puro is ideal for either commercial applications as well as modern residential projects. The external cladding of aluminium makes for a low maintenance window solution and the high performance of the triple glazed unit and naturally warm timber makes it not only good looking but also highly efficient and great at insulating.

Operation

Puro windows are inward opening casements with a tilt & turn function. Several key types and functions are available:

 Fixed window
Tilt & turn - first 90 degree turn of handle gives a tilt function, a full 180 degree turn allows the window to turn inwards
Turn & tilt- first 90 degree turn of handle allows the window to turn inwards, a full 180 degree turn gives a tilt function
Tilt only- bottom hung inward tilting window for ventilation
Tilt & turn balcony door - same function as tilt & turn window but with a deeper bottom rail. Available with handle inside only.
Turn only balcony door - inward or outward opening door with deeper bottom rail than that of a window. Available with handles in only.

Opening lights and fixed lights can be built in one frame with endless design possibilities.

Glazing

Puro windows are only available with triple glazed units. This ensures maximum thermal efficiency of the windows.

The glazing configuration as standard achieves overall window U-values of 0.9W/m2K with a 48mm unit - 4-18-4-18-4mm, consisting of two low-e coatings, warm edged spacer bar and Argon gas filled cavities.

From the outside, the glass units are protected by the external aluminum profile with additional sealing . This solution protects the timber window frames from the adverse effects of weather conditions.

Safety glass is used in the form of either toughened or laminated glass for enhanced safety and security.

Specialist glazed units incorporating acoustic, solar control and self cleaning options are available, as well as sandblasted or decorative obscure glass for extra privacy.

Finish

Timber

All timber is finished with a choice of stains or paints. Paint choices are from the RAL Classic range (approx. 250 colours).

All paints and stains that are used are water based, micro-porous products from Akzo-Nobel. Actual timber samples are sent out upon receipt of order to help assist in the correct colour choice for your project.

As the Puro window system is essentially made up of two parts (internal timber & external aluminium) it is standard to be able to have a dual colour system meaning a one colour can be used inside and a different one outside at no extra cost.

Aluminium Cladding

The external aluminium cladding on the Puro system is Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) to a choice of paint finish from the RAL Classic range. This range has approximately 250 colours to chose from.
