Combi Timber +

Combi Timber+ is series of doors & windows with a traditional frame profile with slim, attractive sight lines and external aluminium cladding for a low maintenance solution. As an outward opening, casement window series, the functionality allows for fully reversible, top swing windows for easy maintenance and cleaning.

The internal timber is, as standard, decorated with a traditional moulding, however there is an option to have this as a square edge instead.

• Fixed window

Inward and outward opening Balcony and entrance doors

Opening lights and fixed lights can be built in one frame with endless design possibilities.

Combi Timber + doors & windows are double glazed units. As standard the units are 4-16-4mm (4mm pane of glass, 16mm gas cavity and a second 4mm pane of glass) with an Argon gas filling which gives an overall U-value from 1.2W/m2K.

The windows are externally beaded by secret nailing, with a drained and ventilated design to ensure maximum life expectancy.

Where safety glass is required the panes can simply become toughened, or a laminated pane could be added for enhanced security.

Specialist glazed units incorporating acoustic, solar control and self cleaning options are available, as well as sandblasted or decorative obscure glass for extra privacy.

Glazing Bars

Structural bars known as transoms (horizontal) or mullions (vertical) are use to separate 2 pieces of glass in either a fixed or an opening light, and also as the structural element between an opener and a fixed when built into 1 frame.

When dividing 2 pieces of glass the transom or mullion is 49mm, and when as a structural element between an opener and a fixed is 56mm.

Multiple transoms and mullions can be built into 1 frame to create multiple-pane effects to your design requirements, as can decorative glazing bars.

Decorative glazing bars are a thinner more elegant solution to those who wish to create a more traditional appearance to their windows and doors. This option includes a 24mm timber glazing bar both internally and externally, with dummy spacer bars between the glass. This makes it look like all of the panes created are separated glazed units, as it would have been done traditionally on this design, but without the weakness’ that this creates.

All timber is finished with a choice of a stains or paints. Paint choices are from the RAL Classic range (approx. 250 colours).

All paints and stains that are used are water based, micro-porous products. Actual timber samples are sent out upon receipt of order to help assist in the correct colour choice for your project.

It is possible to have a 2 colour system with a different finish from inside to outside, meaning that a solid paint can be used externally and a clear lacquer could be used internally if you wanted to appreciate that natural beauty of the timber without any additional colouring.

Aluminium Cladding

The external cladding on the Combi Timber+ range is painted with a polyester powder coating (PPC). The choice of colour comes from the RAL Classic range (approx. 250 colours).
